Thrive

Have you seen this? It’s pretty crazy. I can’t wrap my head around all of it, and my disbelief kept one foot on the ground the entire time, but it’s hard to entirely discount the possibility of most of the things they say.

I even thought the movie might be an attempt to discredit very valid political conspiracy theories by bringing up fringe stuff like UFOs and toroids, but upon a second viewing, I don’t believe that anymore.

See what you think.

Cotton: A poem

“Cotton”

I have learned my own sad

smallness

but really

learned it, feel it

in my bones; it gives me hope.

You cannot build upon

a vagueness.

I know myself;

my small self.

Next I want

dignity; one of many

things you lose for wanting.

I’ve mostly known

its shadow.

The grand mystery of all this

never seems far away, but

I can’t hold on like I used to.

I don’t want to know it

like a child anymore:

all wonder, no understanding.

I want to know

like I want to know you,

keep chasing these cotton wisps

of joy, hoping it grows

somewhere wild

in the same abundance

as I found it packed

and bought it

once upon a time
